Bruno - pisstake 2Preface: 1 November 2009, I have just watched the movie Bruno.  I found it disturbing and disgusting.  It unfortunately was not funny at all, and I regret associating with such a film.

I absolutely love when something is so funny that I laugh uncontrollably.  One thing I respect is when someone is able to make fun of themselves.  If you’re too serious about the way things are, then you’ll never be able to have fun with life.  There is a funny side to nearly everything.

Sacha Baron Cohen is a cringe-worthy actor.  It seems no one is safe from his offensive antics.  Those of you that saw Rove last week know what I mean.  With his latest movie, Bruno, his antics are aimed  straight at those that like to live an alternative lifestyle.  It’s all in good humour though.

When I saw this picture I just had to setup a funny photo piss-taking a piss-take.  So I raided my girlfriend’s plush toys.

Replace one baby with one Grunty-plushy, and one straight-actor pretending to be a gay-man with one straight-photographer pretending to be a straight-actor-pretending-to-be-a-gay-man.  Strike a pose, and hopefully don’t get grilled for the resultant photograph.

I can’t quite get that blue-steal thing going on though.  Ah well, good enough.  Wow, this post might get deleted.  I know you’re all laughing at me, but I’m laughing at me too, so does that mean you’re laughing with me?

Some of my fondest memories are of silly events that have occured in my life.  Times when either I or those around me have said or done  something absolutely ridiculous.

Just the other night Amanda and I had gone to bed at around 8:30.  Extremely early for us.  But then around 10:00pm I woke up suddenly thinking we hadn’t had dinner yet.  So I threw the sheets off and started getting dressed hurridly all the while yelling at Amanda, “Shit baby, we haven’t had dinner yet!! GET UP!”

It wasn’t until I got into the kitchen, still annoyed that Amanda wouldn’t get up out of bed, that I realised that we had infact had dinner over 4 hours ago, and that we were in bed because we had decided to go to bed early.

There have been many other events in my life that have seen me literally on the floor in pain with laughter.  Once at work, I was walking past one of my mate’s at his desk.  He was sitting there attempting to call someone with his desk phone.  But each time he finished dialing the number his mobile phone would ring.  Then when trying to answer his mobile no one would be on the other end.  This happened repeatedly, and I could see the frustration growing.  Curious, I stopped behind and watched.

Furious, he thought someone was pranking him.  So finally he decided to dial the number on his desk phone again, but this time put it on speaker.  On queue his mobile began to rang, and in a moment of pure genius he thought he’d just let his desk  phone continue to ring on speaker while he answered his mobile….

Through the speaker on his desk phone came his own voice, “Hello **** speaking.”

I fell on the floor laughing.

It’s times like those that add that extra spark that life needs on occasion.
